The stories behind
the silence.

Origin

I have always had one constant passion: reading and writing.

Books taught me to see the world in shades of grey, and writing became my way of organising my thoughts and processing my experiences.

This space exists to share reflections without algorithms or expectations. These are not optimised articles, they are letters. Texts written calmly, meant to be read slowly.

No dates. No timestamps. You won't find publication dates here. Ideas don't expire, and thoughts shouldn't be judged by when they were written. Each piece stands on its own merit, timeless and unanchored.

Get lost in reading. This is a space designed for immersion, not consumption. No distractions, no click-bait, no endless scrolling. Just words, carefully chosen, waiting to be discovered at your own pace.

Here you will find:

  • Exit costs and the math of leaving
  • Systems thinking applied to life decisions
  • What gets thought but stays unsaid

I write because I need to. Because reading and writing are the best ways I know to think out loud.

If something I write resonates with you, I'm glad. If not, that's fine too. This is a personal space where I share my thoughts, some freely accessible, others reserved for those who choose to support this work.

Some pieces take longer. Premium gives them space.

Curated Soundscapes

Each letter comes with a soundtrack. Ambient music, classical pieces, lofi - whatever fits the mood. You can read in silence or let it play. Your call.

Mehdi Belkacem Chibani Oughlis

I’ve lived and worked across Europe, Africa, and Asia, observing how systems behave markets, organizations, people under pressure. I write to slow things down. To name what often remains unspoken. Ambition, hesitation, power, silence, longing for clarity. The Unsaid Life is a collection of letters and reflections. Less performance. More truth.
